The Giffin Grip Model 10 includes 3 short basic sliders, 3 short wide sliders and a rod set with new hands, while the Flex Slider III accessory is available for refining and supporting round pots during trimming.
The Giffin Grip fits most potter’s wheels, including Shimpo, Brent, Speedball, Skutt and many more, provided there is a removable splash pan or enough side clearance to mount a 16 inch / 42cm round plate on top. It can be adapted to wheelheads from 8.5 inches to 14 inches in diameter, making it a versatile pottery centering tool and trimming system for a wide range of studio setups.

The Giffin Grip is a pottery trimming and centering tool used to hold leather-hard pots securely on the wheel while you trim. It helps centre work quickly, reduce wobble and support practical trimming shapes that can be difficult to hold by hand.
The Giffin Grip fits most potter’s wheels, including Shimpo, Brent, Speedball, Skutt and many more. Your wheel needs a removable splash pan or enough clearance for a 16 inch / 42cm round plate, and the system can be adapted to wheelheads from 8.5 inches to 14 inches in diameter.
The Giffin Grip uses three built-in spirals in the bottom plate. As the sliders move through the top plate, each slider follows its own spiral so all three move together in concentric alignment, helping centre and hold the pot evenly for trimming.
The Giffin Grip Model 10 includes 3 short basic sliders, 3 short wide sliders and a rod set with new hands. The Flex Slider III is available separately and is designed to help refine support for round pots during trimming.
