Variegated Cone 6 Colour for Atmospheric Pottery Surfaces
Magic C6 Pro Series Stoneware Glaze creates an unpredictable, variegated surface that can move through cream, black, dark blue, green, rich orange and speckled brown. The changing colour responds strongly to ridges and throwing lines, making this glaze particularly effective on textured vessels and forms where contrasting bands and mottled areas can become part of the finished design.
Choose Magic when you want more colour movement than a consistent single-tone glaze. Dipping or spraying is recommended, while application thickness, clay body, layering and kiln conditions can produce noticeably different results between firings. Use labelled test tiles to compare the intended combination before applying it across an important piece or a full batch of pottery.
- Test each clay body and layered combination separately.
- Record application thickness and firing details for repeatable comparisons.
- Add Powder Gum Arabic as required for a thicker applied finish.
