Copper-Toned Variation for Textured Cone 6 Pottery
Copper Flare C6 Pro Series Stoneware Glaze creates a warm variegated surface that moves through copper, bronze and deeper brown tones. The changing colour follows raised bands, throwing lines and recessed areas, helping textured pottery retain visual definition. Supplied samples on pale and speckled clay also show how the underlying body can contribute to the finished appearance.
Choose Copper Flare when you want more movement and warmth than a flat brown glaze. Clay body, application thickness, layered combinations and kiln conditions can alter the balance of copper-orange and darker areas, so compare clearly labelled test tiles on the intended porcelain or stoneware body before glazing an important piece or full batch.
- Test smooth and ridged forms to compare the response across surface texture.
- Label test tiles with the clay body and application thickness used.
- Record the application order when trialling layered glaze combinations.
