Clear Gloss Coverage for Cone 6 Pottery
Classic Clear C6 Pro Series Stoneware Glaze creates a clear glossy fired surface while allowing the colour, decoration and gentle texture beneath to remain visible. It is a useful choice for porcelain and stoneware pieces where you want reflective coverage without replacing the underlying design with an opaque fired colour.
Choose Classic Clear when you want a gloss finish rather than a coloured or matte glaze, including for dipping, spraying or carefully tested layered applications. Clay body, application thickness, glaze combinations and kiln conditions can affect the fired clarity, so compare labelled test tiles before using a new method across a full batch.
- Test over the intended clay body or decoration before glazing important work.
- Label layered tests with the glaze order and application thickness used.
- Add Powder Gum Arabic as required for a thicker applied finish.
