Earthy Green with Fine Light, Dark and Anthracite Effects
Create layered natural green surfaces with BOTZ Green Granite Stoneware Glaze. This satin-glossy glaze changes noticeably across its firing range, developing greenish-grey, anthracite and richer green tones with fine lighter and darker effects.
Apply 2–3 coats, with BOTZ recommending 3 coats for the preferred result. When firing at 1250°C, use only 2 coats around the base of vessels; at 1280°C BOTZ specifies 2 coats. Fire between 1220°C and 1280°C with a 30-minute soak, with the glaze described as most attractive from 1250°C upwards. At 1280°C, locally thicker application can produce soft running effects. This product uses the updated BOTZ formulation introduced in December 2023.
