Bright Cobalt Blue for Clean, Glossy Colour
Royal Blue BOTZ Earthenware Glaze produces a bright cobalt-blue colour with a glossy surface. The strong blue and reflective finish suit smooth bowls, rounded vessels and simple geometric forms where light can emphasise curves, rims and edges. On textured or relief decoration, the intense colour can also create strong visual contrast around raised details.
Choose Royal Blue when you want a blue glaze with some depth rather than a fully opaque block of colour. Its slight transparency allows the underlying surface to contribute to the fired appearance, and the colour becomes darker on coloured clay. This makes clay-body choice a useful way to adjust the overall depth while keeping the same cobalt-blue character.
