Cloudy Metallic Earthenware Glaze with Green and Silvery-Black Variation
Reptile BOTZ Earthenware Glaze develops a cloudy metallic surface over a greenish background with a satin-glossy finish. Its irregular areas of green and darker metallic colour give the surface a strongly varied character that can add visual texture to bowls, vessels and sculptural forms where changing colour across the piece is part of the design.
A thinner application brings out a higher proportion of green, while applying the glaze more thickly shifts the result towards silvery black. Reptile also tends to run, making application thickness important to both its colour and surface character and a useful consideration when deciding where to place the glaze on a piece.
