Warm Glossy Brown for Simple and Faceted Forms
Leather BOTZ Earthenware Glaze gives an opaque light brown colour with a glossy finish. Its warm tone suits simple vessels and faceted forms, while the reflective surface catches changes in shape and helps edges and curves remain visually clear. This makes it a useful choice for pieces where the colour and form are intended to provide the main visual interest.
Leather also performs very well on coloured clay, giving more freedom when choosing the clay body beneath the glaze. Its melting behaviour is another useful reason to choose it: the glaze does not tend to run off, helping the finish stay more controlled around edges, changes of angle and other shaped details.
