Rich Red Earthenware Glaze with Vivid Orange-Peel Texture
Coral Red BOTZ Earthenware Glaze develops a glossy, rich red surface with a vivid orange-peel texture. The glaze can lighten towards white at the edges, giving contours and raised detail extra definition. This combination of strong colour and broken texture suits decorative pieces where the fired surface itself provides much of the visual interest.
Choose Coral Red when you want a red glaze with pronounced surface movement rather than a smooth, visually even result. Apply it as a thick coat and leave pieces loosely spaced in the kiln rather than setting them too closely. It is also Raku suitable, where the fired colour can become bright.
