Soft Cream-White Colour for Subtle Surface Detail
Champagne BOTZ Earthenware Glaze gives a cream-white colour with a satin-glossy finish. Its pale neutral surface works especially well visually on carved, grooved and relief-decorated forms, where the shape and texture remain easy to read instead of being dominated by a strong colour.
Choose Champagne when you want a restrained neutral glaze rather than a bold colour. On coloured clay bodies the fired result can develop a light mauve tone, so the underlying clay can influence the appearance; a test piece is useful when you want to judge that colour shift before glazing an important piece.
